Essential Job Functions
- Monitor and manage electrical system installation activities
- Write daily site reports on site activities.
- Conduct tests of electrical systems.
- Ensure installed systems perform as intended.
- Investigate and undertake analysis on how to improve existing projects or components.
- Monitor installed installations, identify potential issues, diagnose the error, determine proper solution and carry out remedial actions when needed.
- Monitor maintenance and inspection plans.
- Use CAD systems to design and visualise projects and undertake model-making.
- Identify new systems and processes to drive quality, efficiency and save costs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and contractors involved in projects.
- Continually liaise and collaborate with electrical installation technicians and design engineers.
- Provide engineering and technical support to projects in the interest of ensuring safety.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a B.Eng Degree with 5 – 7 years relevant work experience.
- Proven expertise as an electrical engineer.
- Comfortable with heights & physically fit to carry out site works.
- Experience with electrical systems in industrial and commercial buildings.
- Good knowledge of safety at work practices and being a fast learner.
- Good oral and written English language skills.
- Good CAD skills and an ability to read and draw standard line diagrams (Autocad, Sketchup).
- Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
- Good learning skills and a track record of self development.
- Ability to work without supervision.
