Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Site Engineer to join our team. As a Project Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various construction projects from inception to completion.
- Your primary focus will be on ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day construction activities at the project site, coordinating with various stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and project managers.
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance of construction works.
- Collaborate with the project design team to ensure the implementation of design plans and specifications at the site.
- Review and analyze construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team, addressing any issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Maintain a detailed record of project activities, including progress reports, material usage, and manpower allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Identify potential risks and challenges and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.
- Stay updated with industry advancements, construction technologies, and best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in managing construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address on-site challenges.
- Proficiency in using relevant construction software and tools.
Salary
N100,000 / month.
