Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Onboarding Officer

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the end-to-end cycle of the new hires’ onboarding process.
  • Manage all the governmental issues related to the expats’ onboarding process.
  • Align new employees with managers and their team and communicate involvement procedures to all of them.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for hiring managers and newly hired employees.
  • Collaborate closely with different departments such as Travel, Service, Information Technology, Compliance, etc. to ensure a consistent employee onboarding experience.
  • Audit data and set up HR employee personnel file; assist with the coordination, preparation, and distribution of employee documentation.
  • Provide reporting and project updates to team lead and/or senior management.
  • Develop and maintain an employee onboarding program and facilitate a sense of belonging for all employees.
  • Develop and maintain relevant content/curriculum and service delivery methods/materials for employee orientation; serve as lead for sessions; assess needs and work with partners to create and support onboarding sessions for employees.
  • Identify innovative and creative new ways to onboard new employees/reach a more scalable and measurable onboarding experience.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and make recommendations on how to improve process efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all processes and always maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ensure new hires have technical assistance to properly set up their hardware/software and distribute manuals, passwords, and guidelines, as needed.
  • Challenge status quo and proactively identify process improvements.
  • Maintain online content, include coordinating, updating, and maintaining database, and documenting processes and policies to manage employee onboarding experience.
  • Collect data and generate reports related to satisfaction and belonging, and impact of onboarding and peer resource support; evaluate data and work with administrators to assist with continual process improvement.
  • Resolve problems, handle difficult situations and provide appropriate referrals to other service areas or escalate issues as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements (profile)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, or similar.
  • Additional studies in a related field is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Experience in dealing with expats and governmental issues.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and other modern IT tools.
  • Fluent in English language both written and spoken; command of any of the other CAF official languages (French and/or Arabic) is a plus.
  • Ability to work successfully and professionally with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to understand basic technical concepts and explain them in simple terms.
  • Fast learner, with strong work ethic (reliable) with “can do” and collaborative attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfil secretarial duties, such as: writing correspondences, coordinating tasks, taking minutes, and managing files, planning of the calendar of meetings and travels.
  • Prioritize and respond to all communications sent to the Office of the General Secretary in a timely manner, while ensuring that all relevant information is properly escalated, documented, and filed for future reference.
  • Create and maintain databases as needed.
  • Draft and finalize templates for various communications, in English and French, including but not limited to internal memos, external correspondences, and reports.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the Office operates efficiently and effectively.

  • Previous experience in drafting, formatting, and reviewing Legal & Communication documents in French and English, is required.
  • Fluent in both English & French spoken and written is a must. Command of Arabic is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and other modern IT tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the elaboration, implementation and supervision of development programs;
  • Develop an annual technical development plan focused on the strategic plan and values of the Zonal Union;

Key Responsibilities

  • In close collaboration with the Executive Director, develop and implement women’s football projects in line with the Strategic Plan of the Zonal Union
  • Under the supervision of the Executive Director, manage, support and implement a women’s football development strategy;
  • Under the supervision of the Executive Director, prepares the Department’s annual plan and budget submission;
  • Manage and develop women’s football activities in line with strategic objectives (budgeting, implementation and reporting);
  • Ensure coordination with other Departments of the Zonal Union to ensure the implementation of the necessary measures related to projects and programs, such as travel arrangements, transportation, accommodation, payments, communication and others;
  • Manage the follow-up process with Member Associations on implemented projects (pilot programmes and development programmes) in line with the Zonal Union strategy for women’s football;
  • Provide support to the Zonal Union in the implementation of youth projects and at the local level for the benefit of girls
  • Ensure that all development activities are carried out on time, in accordance with the timetable set by the Executive Director and in accordance with the annual plan of the Area Union;
  • Responsible for the compilation of the reports (internal and/or reference) of the Zonal Unions;
  • Monitor and document in an organized manner all activities developed by the Zonal Union and the related costs;
  • Collaborate with other departments of the Zonal Union in the implementation of women’s football development programs;
  • Coordinate with other Zonal Union departments to ensure the implementation of necessary measures related to the Department’s activities, such as expenditures, organization of services, requests, travel arrangements, transportation, accommodation, payments and others
  • Monitor the production of promotional materials, articles and publications to enhance the image of women’s football;
  • Design and implement programmes to increase the participation of women and girls in football, both on and off the field;
  • Follow up on surveys and studies on the development of women’s football and disseminate this information to relevant bodies;
  • Monitor CSR-related activities and work with international NGOs to identify common goals for the empowerment of girls and women in society, with the aim of using football as a means to achieve these goals;
  • Collaborate with other technical development divisions to develop and produce manuals and guidelines for coaches and officials involved in women’s football
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Executive Director.

Requirements (Profile)
Education:

  • University Degree in Sports Management and Administration, or equivalent;
  • Additional studies in the field of football (e.g. FIFA Masters, etc.).

Professional experience:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in the field of sport, preferably in women’s football
  • Business know-how and IT skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of women’s football in general and experience as a footballer at a high level are assets;
  • Experience in the administration and successful implementation of women’s football development projects/programmes;
  • Proper use of MS products (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio),
  • Work experience in a football-related environment (club, league, federation for example);
  • Knowledge of the African football industry and environment
